Some visitors may be confused as to the location of the o2 dome ?

 

"o2 dome you say whats that ?"

 

The Millennium Dome was renamed "the o2" after naming rights where purchased by telecoms company o2plc.

Its not moved,it can still be found in Greenwich.

Most people in the uk still talk about The Millennium dome while the main sponsors still wait for "the02" to stick.

If you are in London and looking for directions,asking for "The Dome" will enable most locals to point you in the right direction.

We even had an email recently from someone asking us about the Millenium o2 dome.

I think it may be a while yet until we all drop the word millenium although the conservative party i expect are thinking the sooner the better.

The Conservative goverment spent millions trying to convince us all to visit the Millennium Dome in the late 1990,s lets hope it does not cost o2 as much money in advertising to get us to drop the old name.

 

But no matter if the name sticks or not one thing is for sure,the entertainment and stars that have been booked during 2007 will ensure that the Dome will no longer be a cultural waistland.
